Industrial, synth pop, future pop, ebm music lovers, I need your help!!?

Hello! Okay, I’m working on a mix for my boyfriend who isn’t all that familiar with industrial-ebm kinda style music. I have a pretty good list but I don’t want to miss any classics. If anyone could give me any good song ideas I’d really appreciate it.
Looking for industrial/ebm/synth pop/future pop etc.

Is industrial, EBM, and Synth Rock part of the Goth subculture? WTF!?

Regarding to the question above. I expected symphonic metal, deathcore and black metal but what I found in certain communities online are Industrial, EBM and synth rock bands. They even ripped off the ‘dark’ look – and call themselves CyberGoth? (e.g Zeromancer, The Birthday Massacre). It’s just….I thought those are in separate worlds.

What, exactly, is happening here? Is this just like the early 00′s where Emos consider themselves ‘punk’? Encroachment or genre fusion?

I listen to 16volt, Rob Zombie and KMFDM and some people call it ‘Darkwave’ or ‘Cybergoth’. This irks me.

EDIT: migh, I kinda agree with you about the european thing….here at my part of the world, the word ‘gothic’ immediately conjures up symphonic death metal, Nightwish, and Immortal to mind. The goth community I saw was based on US. Maybe that is the case…?

Scary Thieves – Tell Me Girl

The Scary Thieves were a short-lived English 1980s New Wave band, best known for their 1984 hit “Tell Me Girl” and their 1985 hit “The Waiting Game”. Both songs are included on the “Hardest Hits” compilations.
