Even though Tori's debt to Kate is obvious she has her own very distinct approach (and she's a lot nuttier). Kate is much more into her 'art' where as Tori is into music - I can't imagine the Kate Bush doing the astounding numbers of covers Tori has done. And that' reflected by their early careers: Kate discovered early teens by famous guitarist and 'hothoused'; Tori pays her dues in unknown bands. I think Kate's body of work is more consistent overall but Tori's highest highs are higher than Kate's.
