Orgy Goth Rock
December 2nd, 2008
Caeser Pink & The Imperial Orgy perform the goth-rock song titled "May 23, 1993." Caeser Pink wrote the song after awaking at 5AMshaking and alone in a freezing apartment after having strange dreams of family and friends from the past. The raw lyrics reveal a vulnerability and a display personal angst that were reached by writing the lyrics while still in a state of somnambulism.

Anybody know some good goth bands?
November 3rd, 2008
I Usually Listen to The Cure, Type O Negative, and Malice Mizer.
Im looking for more bands like Malice Mizer and Kozi.
I wouldn’t consider the bands you listed goth (except maybe a few of The Cure’s albums), but here’s a few of the more obvious goth bands:
Bauhaus
Christian Death
Siouxsie and the Banshees
Specimen

Are they going to buy one? Would you buy one?
The Citroen Xanthia shouldve been called the Citroen Xandria!
Considering how important affordable and reliable transportation is to most goths, yes, General Motors definitely decided to make a car for a goth band. I heard that one of the options in the car is an extra large eye-liner holder.
What are some good christian goth bands?

Explanation of Goth:
The mainstream stereotype of Goths dressing all in black, devil worship, and an obsession with death is not what the Goth movement really is.
The term Goth comes from the dark ages and the music is characterized by stringed instruments (especially cellos) and dark melodies/lyrics. In many ways, goth music is more alike Eastern European folk music because both had similar influences over time. True goths are more likely to be found at renaissance fairs than metal concerts.
In a religious sense, more goths celebrate the earth and nature; they are often called Wiccans. Bear in mind that Wicca is not about devil worship and neither is Voodoo. Until you know exactly what a religion/cult stands for, do not judge it.
Bands:
One of the few true goth bands is Rasputina, although they are not Christian. Another band with goth influences is Switchblade Symphony. Mainstream artists such as Marilyn Manson label themselves as Goth although most of his songs are Death Metal, Screemo, or Industrial.
I have never seen a "Christian/Goth" band although it is possible. If they focused on some of the darker passages in the Bible (like Revelations, etc), then they could capture the goth image while remaining Christian.
[EDIT] After looking at answer 1, Savior Machine definitely has some Goth Influences, although they are not as dark as many "goth bands." The look is stereotypical goth, and the sound is more soft rock with a hint of goth.
