Cult Friction - Anti-Scientology demo in London

Cult Friction
Anti-Scientology demo in London, May 2008
As part of the world wide anti-scientology protests the Church of Scientology in London saw two hundred V for Vendetta-masked up demonstrators hold a noise protest outside the scientology building in the square mile.
Scientology has always had it's critics and it's only been recently that protesters under the umbrella name of "anonymous" have stepped up their activities and began to picket and publicly highlight the insidious way that this cult can ruin lives and destroy families. Just recently the Church of Scientology have began to fight back by steering a law through the courts that deems the word "Cult" arrestable if used by demonstrators. And would you believe it the City of London Police had no problems with implementing this barmy law to the latter….stupid cults!

The Obama Cult (Ruby Ridge Remix)
December 2nd, 2008
Yes, it is a cult.
Devoted fans fainting in their Leader's presence. Mind-numb drones who refuse to believe anything 'negative' about the Leader. Slavish devotion to the sect.
Only the best from director Paul F. Villarreal and VillarrealSports.com. If you want to read and see more about this disingenuous, unpatriotic chump running for President out of the state of Illinois, come and see us here:

Umbra et imago - Goth’ Music
October 14th, 2008

in dunklen Klängen in ferne Welten gleiten.
Zweitausend Jahre bis zur Ewigkeit,
tanzt der Kult in schwarzem Kleid.
This is the sound
of underground
around the world
where you are
lives the gothic cult.
Be a dark star!
I hear it now and here,
full of pain, loud and clear.
Now listen … Goth’ Music
Von West nach Ost bis nach Berlin,
überall kocht die scene.
Willst du sie so stolz feiern sehn,
solltest du in tiefe Keller gehen.
In Ruinen wo der Kult erblüht,
wo pure in heißen Körpern glüht.
Das ist unsere Kultur -
das ist unser Lebensgefühl,
der ganze mainstream läßt uns kühl.
This is the sound
of underground
around the world
where you are
lives the gothic cult.
Be a dark star!
I hear it now and here,
full of pain, loud and clear.

Nest of Vipers: Excerpt: Artists’ Formative Moments
October 14th, 2008
This is an excerpt from the Nest of Vipers podcast hosted by San Francisco independent filmmaker Danny Plotnick (Swingers’ Serenade, I’m Not Fascinating). Like the unholy coupling of Fresh Air and The Best Sports Show, Nest of Vipers is smart, funny, and irreverent. Each episode features the rantings, ravings and erudite patter of independent musicians, filmmakers, writers and comedians holding court on cultural topics of the utmost importance.
More Excerpts and related film clips at www.youtube.com/nestofivperspodcast.
Episode 5 of the Nest of Vipers Podcast is out NOW! Artists’ Formative Moments
Available through iTunes.
Most guests on the Nest of Vipers are part of the art world and are enamored with alternative culture. These sub-cultural types often have defining moments early in life when they realize they’re different from everybody else or are concerned with different things than their friends. Our team of “fundits” exhume the elementary and high school years to talk about these formative moments. Guests include writer Bucky Sinister (All Blacked Out & Nowhere to Go), musician Kurt Keppler (Fierce Antler), and musician Alison Faith Levy (The Sippy Cups). Hosted by filmmaker Danny Plotnick.
Our guests include:
Bucky Sinister is the author of three acclaimed books of poetry—King of the Roadkills, Whiskey and Robots, and the brand new All Blacked Out & Nowhere To Go. Bucky honed his writing skills and performing chops as emcee of the outrageous poetry brawl scene at the Chameleon in San Francisco’s Mission District during the mid 90’s. His poems have been included in the Outlaw Bible of American Poetry, and King of the Roadkills inspired a short-lived clothing collection in Australia. He recently completed watching 500 movies on DVD this past year as part of the Q500 Experiment.
Kurt Keppeler writes music and plays bass with the goth-psych band Fierce Antler. Previous musical forays included the dark-wave band Condor. He is also an accomplished film and video director. His experimental films include Metalman, The Leash Men and Fisherman. He has directed live concert DVDs for Los Lobos, Ozomatli, Bow Wow, Gold Chains and Nellie McKay, among others.
Alison Faith Levy is a musician currently playing in kid-rock favorites The Sippy Cups. She also sings for the experimental group Mushroom who have a brand new record out fronted by Levy called Yesterday I Saw You Kissing Tiny Flowers. She recently has been performing live with Victor Krummenacher.
